Madeleine Sophia Wilson is an 18-year-old filmmaker, dedicated to refining filmmaking & leadership skills and opening eyes to the issues of today’s world.
Background
Madeleine is an active in her high school's academics, serving as Photo Editor for the school newspaper, the Jacket, Business & Outreach Editor for the yearbook and competing as a member of the varsity field hockey team.
Madeleine's talent and commitment to filmmaking have been recognized through several noteworthy accomplishments, multiple Official Selections, 'Best First Time Filmmaker' award at the Bridge Fest Film Festival, ‘Student Documentary Best Film Award’ at the Jackson Doc Fest and more.
In the fall semester of 2026, Madeleine will be attending Chapman University’s Dodge school of film & media arts as a part of their class of 2030. She will be majoring in creative producing!
Chapman is ranked #4 for film studies, both for undergrad & grad degrees.
During the 2025 summer, Madeleine attended CSSSA, where she had the opportunity to work on documentary and thesis films amongst other hardworking film students.
In 2024, Madeleine partnered with Future Filmmakers in San Francisco. With a team of dedicated filmmakers, Madeleine was a part of a year-long documentary process, featuring 7 high schoolers as they navigate life and what growing up really means.
In 2021, Madeleine joined the Reel Stories team. She continues to play an active role, as a student board member, social media intern, and filmmaker, making films and expanding her resumé through her high school career.
